CSIPay is live: one payments platform for the Constellation portfolio

CSIPay is live today.  Constellation Payments has commercially launched the embedded payments platform built exclusively for Constellation Software and Jonas Group operating companies, giving every partner in the ecosystem a way to run payments inside their own software without building or managing the infrastructure underneath it.

For operating companies, the practical change is simple. Payments no longer have to be handed to an outside processor along with the merchant relationship, the pricing leverage, and the margin. Partners integrate once and keep the customer facing experience entirely their own, while CSIPay carries the processing, compliance, underwriting, risk, settlement, payouts, and disputes behind the scenes.

Why this matters

Most software companies hand payments to a third party, and hand over the upside too. Companies that rely on outside processors do not control the merchant relationship, lose visibility into fees and terms, and absorb the cost when a processor changes its pricing. Integrations built one at a time make workflows, reporting, and support inconsistent from one company to the next.

Across a portfolio, that inefficiency compounds. Every company negotiates alone, economics vary widely, and the same infrastructure gets paid for many times over. Payments end up as a source of friction and margin pressure rather than a strategic growth lever.

CSIPay was built to address that structurally rather than company by company. One shared platform, integrated once, with the hard parts handled centrally and the economics staying inside the ecosystem that creates them.

What partners get today

The platform covers online, in person, mobile, and bank payments through a single integration:

  • Card not present and card present processing, ACH, and recurring billing
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay across card not present transactions
  • Mobile point of sale with tap to pay on phone, with or without dedicated terminals
  • Pay By Link for hosted, link based collection
  • Flat or Cost+ pricing, plus merchant-managed surcharging on established CSI rules
  • Consolidated card and ACH reporting in one view, with no reconciling across external tools
  • A partner portal for merchant management, transaction search, payout monitoring, and disputes
  • REST APIs, SDKs built for vertical workflows, tokenization, sandbox, and webhooks

Merchant onboarding is partner-led and merchant-completed. The partner shares a link, the merchant submits the application directly, and most low and medium risk profiles are approved quickly, with manual review reserved for higher risk cases.

Built for the ecosystem, not retrofitted for it

Constellation Payments owns and operates the CSIPay gateway. That ownership is the reason the roadmap answers to operating companies: when a partner needs something their vertical depends on, it can be prioritized without negotiating around an outside platform’s priorities.

Generic processors can move money. CSIPay is built to grow a software business.

That distinction runs through the whole model. Partners own the pricing, the branding, and the merchant relationship. CSIPay handles the complexity underneath, so operating companies gain modern payment capabilities without taking on the operational and regulatory weight that normally comes with them.

Coverage and security

CSIPay is live in the United States across card present, card not present, and ACH, and live in Canada for card not present through a Canadian processing partner. Card present and EFT for Canadian merchants are coming later this year.

The platform holds PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider certification under v4.0.1, independently assessed by a Qualified Security Assessor and the highest standard in the payment industry, with end to end encryption, advanced tokenization, and real time fraud detection protecting data at every layer.

What comes next

Work continues on expanding Canadian coverage, broadening payment methods and wallets, and rolling CSIPay out to more companies across the Constellation portfolio. Partner input shapes what gets built first.
